Paweł Kwiek’s idea consists in employing various styles in subsequent scenes, featuring animation, scenes with actors, found footage (both image and sound), while coincidence and spontaneous improvisation without a script ultimately become the rules that guide this project. Kwiek treats all formal elements embraced in the film with cool ambivalence. This stance towards the structure of the film opened the possibility of free interpretation (depending on the context) of politically charged elements. It was impossible to recognise unequivocally whether the film praises or denounces the featured symbols. It was underpinned with interpretative openness, deliberate fuzziness of meaning. Moreover, treating the film as a mere reservoir of stimuli served Kwiek as a way to relate ironically to films based on literature, encouraging the viewers to read and interpret the works actively, making hermeneutic effort.
